On Friday, November 30, 2021, the competition for the best diploma thesis defended in the 2020/2021 academic year, devoted to modern technologies in housing construction, was resolved. The organizer of the competition was HM Inwest S.A. The competition was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology, prof. Teofil Jesionowski.
The aim was to increase public awareness in the field of construction with the use of prefabricated elements and to select interesting theses dealing with this subject in technical, financial and legal terms.
The diplomats sent design works, works that solve selected technical issues, as well as illustrate issues related to the organization of construction and the economy of construction investments.
At the end of October 2021, the Competition Jury selected the best diploma theses. The award ceremony was held at the Poznan University of Technology on 30th of November 30 2021.
The first place won Maciej Maćkowiak's diploma thesis entitled "Development of a digital model of the MatDeco construction product in the BIMStreamer product management system." The second place was taken by Anagha Anjanamol with her diploma thesis "Lean Management in Construction Projects", and the third place was taken Mohammed Eleyan for "Analysis and design of prefabricated concrete hall using BIM technology".
The winners received cash prizes in the total amount of 20.000 PLN. All the works were written under the supervision of the employees of the Institute of Structural Analysis and the Institute of Building Engineering. The award ceremony was attended by the representatives of the business, academic and media community. All invited guests emphasized the great importance of cooperation between various communities in order to acquire and promote the best technical solutions in the field of construction. Piotr Hofman, the president of HM Inwest S.A. assured that the competition would be continued in the following years.
