As the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications at Poznan University of Technology, on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the EURO – the Association of European Operational Research Societies, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the current President of the association, Anita Schöbel, and to the entire OR community!

Many of our faculty members are part of the Polish Operational and Systems Research Society (POSRS), which is a member of EURO. Prof. Jan Węglarz served as EURO President (1997-1998), Prof. Jacek Błażewicz was IFORS Vice President for EURO (2014-2019), Prof. Joanna Józefowska was EURO Vice President (2020-2023), and Prof. Roman Słowiński has been the Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR) since 1999. Many staff members of the Institute of Computer Science have held and continue to hold roles as EWG Coordinators (Prof. Roman Słowiński, Prof. Miłosz Kadziński), as well as PC (Prof. Roman Słowiński, Prof. Marta Szachniuk) and OC Chairs for EURO-k Conferences (Prof. Joanna Józefowska), and have actively participated in these conferences.

The EURO association is close to our hearts, and we wish you many prosperous years ahead, along with outstanding scientists who will continue to contribute to the advancement of operational research!
